This week I continued on with our last weeks discussion that I shared with our church about being a witness for the Lord. This week we went through a short time in the Tabernacle because last week I mentioned that Jesus split the veil from top to bottom so wanted to make sure everyone knew about the Veil and shared with the church. I took a quote from St. Augustine referring to the bible he said ” The New is in the Old concealed and The Old is in the New revealed” what a powerful word. We know that all these things happened for an example and are written for our admonition; 1 Corinthians 10:11

Pattern of the Veil the colours in particular. We know that blue is symbolic and represents the sky and is a reminder of our heavenly father and the home of Jesus.Scarlet serves  to remind of the blood that was shed for us for our redemption, and the purple we know there has to be equal parts of blue and red to get the colour purple. Purple is the colour of royalty and so it reminded us of our perfect man yet perfect God in Jesus as written. The Construction of this Veil was important as well it was to done with cunning work and fine twined. It was the dividing line between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.

The Purpose of the Veil.

It served as a warning to the children of God not to approach the presence of the Lord carelessly. It said man can come only this far and no farther , only one could go beyond the Veil and only once a year on the of Atonement. Only the High priest could go beyond the Veil and armed with the Blood of the newly slain animal which the High priest would sprinkle on the Mercy seat for the sins of the nation. The priests could work all through the year and come inches from the Holy of Holies where the presence of God dwelt but never tasted it. Sounds like so many believers come so close and never tasting the true presence of the Lord waiting for some special speakers to come and move into the presence.

The Veil was Parted

Method for its parting was by God and not man. Josephus says it was a 60 foot high and 30 foot wide Veil and also it was 4 inches thick. The method of payment used for you and for me to access this grace and power of God was through the shed blood of the Lamb/JesusAmazing there is no way man could tear that it had to be the work of man. Lets remember we have all hour access through the blood that still stains the mercy seat for us. Lets P.U.S.H. till we get beyond the veil.
